In the present demanding times, when the task of grooming students has become all the more challenging, education has to be holistic than just being an information centre of teaching and learning. Nurturing inherent talents and tapping potentialities of a child through co-scholastic activities has been the Hallmark of DPS Bilaspur. The accolade won in the various Inter School Competitions is an ample proof of the progress our school has been making.
HINDI RECITATION BY TINY TOTS OF DPS, BILASPUR
Tiny tots of Pre-Primary Wing have participated in Hindi Recitation Activity, organized by Delhi Public School, Bilaspur on 5th August 2016.
It was an amazing activity enjoyed by all the children. The enthusiastic participants recited their poems under the criteria of judgements. Children showed their tremendous confidence of performing on the stage.
The criterias were as follows – theme and content, pronunciation and fluency, action and presentation & voice modulation and confidence.
The distinguished judges of the Activity were Ms Mamta Shukla, Dr Seema Srivastava & Ms Mini Shrimor.

INTER HOUSE SALAD DECORATION AND MEHANDI COMPETITION (06.08.16, Saturday)
In the world of fast food and junk food the nutrients value of green salad is often ignored. DPS, Bilaspur conducted Inter House Salad Decoration for Group E and F to create awareness and interest to the fact that salads are not only healthy but tasty and tempting. The participants of the four Houses presented their salads in a wonderful way, displaying their keen observance and creative skills. The judges for the competition were Ms. Mamta Shukla, Ms. Sutapa Chaterjee and Ms. Sangeeta Upadhyaya.
In the Salad Decoration Competition, Group E Vedanshi Agrawal of Ganga House bagged the first position. Anushka Das of Kaveri House lifted the second and the third position was taken up by Sameer Jain and Soumya Sultania of Narmada House. In Group – F Rashween Gandhi of Narmada House bagged the first position. Tania Abraham of Brahmaputra house lifted the second & Insha Hasan of kaveri house stood at the third position.
On the other hand, an Inter House Mehandi Competition for Group E and F was organized where participants from all the four houses used their creativity to make beautiful patterns and designs. The artistic work of the students was worth seeing. The competition was judged by Ms. Rajneer Kaur, Ms. Ankita Maheshwari and Ms. Anamika Chandranahu.
In Group E, Anvitha Murthy of Brahmaputra House bagged the first position.U. Lipika of Brahmaputra House grabbed the second position and Ishita Mishra of Narmada House stood at the third position. In group F Sana Firdaus of Narmada House bagged the first position. Aishwarya Jain of Kaveri House grabbed the second position .Priyanshi Agrawal of Kaveri House and Tania Abraham of Brahmaputra House stood at the third position.
In addition to it Inter house Kabaddi (Boys group F) was also conducted on the same day. In Kabaddi Ganga House bagged the first position, Kaveri House grabbed the second and Narmada house stood at the third position.
Principal Mr. Jaspal Singh Math appreciated the participants for their active participation and congratulated the winners.
